I am absolutely delighted to be presenting an opportunity to invest in SubCom, a deep-tech early stage venture developing proprietary technology to automate the security of distributed data and devices, disrupting the global cybersecurity landscape.

Incredibly Deep Pain-Point: Cybersecurity is one of the most significant problems of our century. As technology makes life simpler across domains, we get further more vulnerable to cyber attacks. With the rise in IoT Devices, increased cloud storage of data, hybrid-distributed teams, this problem gets further exacerbated, requiring tangible long-term solutions, which SubCom is building.

Large Market Opportunity: Cybersecurity is by far one of the largest opportunities of our generation. The global cybersecurity market is estimated to be at $120 Billion. Additionally, the cost of cybercrime is estimated be $6 Trillion in 2021, making cybercrime the 3rd largest economy. All of these numbers tell us that there is not a better market to target and SubCom is absolutely poised for going after it.

Disruptive Proprietary Technology: SubCom is building proprietary technology which shall disrupt the industry. This comes in the form of building the gold standard in trust score for the world, which shall enable rapid acceleration of Zero Trust Architecture across organisations throughout the globe.

1. Perimeter Based Security is a thing of the Past

In today’s day and age, there is no single, easily identifiable perimeter for enterprises. With the rise in hybrid work & emergence of global teams, enterprises are exposed to a variety of security breaches, which cannot anymore, be protected by perimeter based security. Thus, this problem needs to be tackled by a more enhanced model such as Zero-Trust-Architecture (ZTA), which is one of the core fundamental of SubCom’s solution.

2. Distributed Infrastructure & Mobile Workforce

By 2022, there shall be 75 Billion IoT Devices and 1 trillion networked sensors will be embedded in the world around us. It is expected that by 2023, there shall be 3x more networked devices than humans on Earth. By 2025, Data stored on the ****cloud will reach 100 zettabytes by 2025. All of this testifies to a massive distributed infrastructure, which makes systems all the more vulnerable to cyberattacks and thus, in the need for better cybersecurity solutions.

3. Lack of precise trust scores to implement ZTA at scale

In the ZTA paradigm, an enterprise must assume no implicit trust and grant the least privileged access to its resources. Thus, a highly accurate trust score is the foundation of ZTA. Currently, cybersecurity vendors are repurposing their existing solutions to build surrogates and thus, there are no benchmark trust scores yet, which open up a unique white-space for SubCom.

SubCom is building the gold standard in trust score for the world. This is powered by their proprietary Sparse Neural Fabric, which will entirely reimagining the quantification of trust.

Zero Trust as a Service

Zero Trust as a Service

With this trust score, SubCom’s customers shall be able to implement ZTA on their endpoints, giving them real- time trust visibility, least-privilege access management, data & application security, and enforcement of proper user behaviour & compliance. In the future, seamless upward integration of this solution will make Enterprise’s complete transition to ZTA seamless and effortless, thus making SubCom win in the market.
